Myaa Greene Selected as Cornell University Food Science Summer Scholar Intern

WILBERFORCE, OH - Myaa Greene was accepted into an Ivy League university (Cornell) as a 2022 Food Science Summer Scholar Intern. The program is composed of like-minded students who will have the opportunity to work on a research project that relates to food and science.

Of this opportunity, Greene said, "The thing about which I am most excited is how I will live in New York for the summer. I always envisioned myself living there. God has really given me two dreams in one–being in New York and interning to further develop my future career path at an Ivy League University."

Greene is an honors student, a full-ride USDA scholar,  a dancing Belle, and a mentor. She also served as Miss Sophomore for the 2021-2022 academic school year.

With distinct career goals in mind, Greene plans to graduate with a degree in Exercise Science, attend graduate school to obtain her master's degree in food science, become a sports nutritionist or pursue a career in the food science field. She also plans to stay connected with her passion for dance to teach and mentor girls. Finally, she also hopes that her inspirational Instagram (@myaanoangelou) account becomes an influential platform for women and men to be inspired.
